Modern Farmhouse
Design & Styling
In the heart of countryside bliss, a vision of modern living takes form through a meticulously crafted modern farmhouse floorplan. This residence, spanning across three levels - groundfloor, first floor, and attic - seamlessly marries contemporary convenience with the timeless charm of a farmhouse aesthetic. Let's explore the thoughtfully designed layout and its standout features.
How it started
From the start, the old farmhouse didn't have a great set of bones to work with but the decision was made to have some of them come back and be used as decoration. The floorplan design deftly balances the dichotomy between tradition and modernity. In the living room, a full glass wall draws the outdoors in, connecting the interior with the garden's splendor. The choice of materials, exemplified by the juxtaposition of a modern sofa and an old wooden beam, underscores the design's intent to honor history while embracing innovation.
THE IDEA
Natural and rustic
The choice of a calm interior palette with subtle pops of color allows the authentic elements of the farmhouse to take center stage. The design celebrates the heritage of the space, allowing original features to shine while integrating contemporary comforts seamlessly.
